Ask Our Experts

I'm Sienna Blackwood, and I've been helping Australian businesses understand finance for over twelve years. Most questions we get revolve around the same core concerns — cash flow management, investment decisions, and growth planning.

What I've learned is that business owners often know more than they think. They just need the right framework to organize their knowledge and fill in the gaps.

Common Questions

Here are the answers to questions we hear most often from business owners exploring our programs

When do your next programs start?
Our comprehensive Business Finance Foundations program begins in September 2025, with early bird enrollment opening in June. We also run shorter workshops throughout the year — the next Cash Flow Mastery intensive is scheduled for August 2025. Most participants find the September start gives them time to prepare and gather their business documents.
We keep class sizes deliberately small (maximum 16 participants) to ensure everyone gets individual attention and can ask questions freely.
What background do I need to get value from these courses?
You don't need any formal finance background. Most of our participants are business owners, managers, or entrepreneurs who want to understand their numbers better. Some have MBA backgrounds, others left school at sixteen to start their first business. The common thread is curiosity about how money moves through their operations. We start with fundamentals and build up. If you can read a bank statement and use a calculator, you have the technical skills needed. The real requirement is willingness to look at your business through a financial lens.
How much time should I expect to invest each week?
Our main program requires about 6-8 hours per week over twelve weeks. This includes three hours of class time (either in-person in Sydney or live online) and 3-5 hours of independent work applying concepts to your own business. The independent work isn't busywork — you'll be building actual financial tools for your business. Many participants tell us this homework becomes the most valuable part because they're solving real problems while they learn.
What if I can't attend all the sessions?
We record all sessions for participants who miss classes due to travel or illness. However, the discussion and Q&A portions are where most learning happens, so we encourage regular attendance when possible. If you know you'll miss more than two sessions, we'd recommend waiting for a cohort that fits your schedule better. The program builds on itself each week, and catching up can become overwhelming.
Do you offer payment plans or corporate pricing?
Yes to both. Individual participants can spread payments over three months, and we offer group rates when companies enroll multiple team members. We also work with some organizations on customized programs that focus on their specific industry challenges.
Contact us directly to discuss options. We've found that most businesses benefit when both owners and key managers take the program together, so we try to make that financially feasible.
What ongoing support do you provide after the program ends?
Program alumni get access to our quarterly check-in sessions where we review new financial challenges and share updates on tax law changes or industry trends. You also join our private online community where participants help each other with specific questions. We find that many of the best insights come from seeing how other businesses handle similar financial decisions. The peer learning continues long after the formal program ends.

Still Have Questions?

We know every business situation is different. While these FAQs cover the most common concerns, your specific circumstances might raise unique questions about cash flow, investment timing, or growth financing.

Rather than leave you wondering, we prefer direct conversation. A fifteen-minute call usually answers most questions and helps you determine if our approach matches what you're looking for.
